On Character creation

Hi all.

Just to make clear, those of you willing to brave a new rule system before the fist session, please go a head and make up four 0 Level characters. The usual method for DCC is make 3-4 of these lowbies each run them through a “Gauntlet” style intro adventure together and promote to 1st level from the survivors. Any additional survivors keep on hand (unless you absolutely hate them) just in case you need a hot spare if your main is incapacitated or worse unexpectedly. Death can come at any time naturally so I usually advise always keeping a “Hot spare” just in case…

In practical terms this tends to mean folks use 2 -3 of these Peons to shelter the one they flavor the most through the intro adventure. This is fine 🙂 None the less its part of the Game to “risk” the dice of fate on a intro adventure so I advise you not getting uber attached to any of them yet, instead have a story/background made up that can be applied to any survivor(s)

If you have a very clear concept of a Character then I can be persuaded to let one or two start off at 1st level. In the intro adventure it will be their particular task to shield and shepherd the 0 Level pack through the trials of thereof. So this is not exactly a “soft option” either.
